Since thatday, High Road has been working non-stop, building the infrastructurenecessary for mass communication and mass mobilization that will lead tomajor changes in human rights policies and practices.
Areas of Focus
High Road identified fouhuman rights areas on which to focus:genocide, human trafficking, climatechange, and torture. Recently, a fiftharea of focus, state-sanctioned killingunder the guise of the death penalty,was added to the High Road agenda.The work of High Road has beenintense and far-reaching, laying thegroundwork for an aggressive,effective citizens’ lobby of informed,well-prepared people in localcommunities throughout the nation.

Founder Rocky Anderson has made numerous presentations about themission and strategies of High Road for Human Rights around the UnitedStates and Canada.

At High Road receptions, the response by those inattendance has been enthusiastic and supportive. At every event, peoplehave volunteered to help form local chapters. High Road has formedfourteen chapters around the country and, with sufficient funding andstaffing, can mobilize members and create 30 or more active chaptersoperating around the country by the end of 2009.
