HOW WILL WE SURVIVE?THE ANSWER IS HERE!World conditions in general points to great trouble on a global scale. The next couple of yearspromise to be a time of great distress for human kind. Wars, pestilence, starvation and naturaldisasters on an unprecedented scale, are on the agenda. Must we buy survival kits, digbunkers, flee to a 'safe haven' etc?The true and lasting solution we find in Jesus Christ. His Hebrew Name is Yahusha, He wasbrought up with this Name in a Hebrew family. This is also the Name that an Angel gave Himwhen His birth was announced to His Hebrew mother. (Mat 1:21). We acknowledge this factand love his Name with our whole heart. In His providence and Al might however He alsoallowed us to know Him by the Name of Jesus Christ who is the only Savior of the world. Thiswas done with a purpose. We must never forget that God is deeply involved in all aspects ofour faith. Those who criticize the Bible so easily and make it out to be a book with manycontradictions has lost tract of one important fact and that is that God Himself is presentthrough His Holy Spirit to clear up any issues that needs clarification.Christ declared to His disciples in this regard: Joh 14:16-17 And I will pray the Father, and heshall give you another Comforter, that he may
abide with you for ever
; (17) Even the Spiritof truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: butye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and
shall be in you
. This is a personal and intimaterelationship with God based on certain conditions. It is on these conditions I would like tofocus a bit. One of the conditions we find in Luk 11:11-13 If a son shall ask bread of any ofyou that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him aserpent? (12) Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? (13) If ye then, beingevil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenlyFather give the Holy Spirit
to them that ask him
? Luk 11:10 For every one that asketh
; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. It is clear that Christ did not refer here to vague possibilities but to absolute reality! Then wemust also remember that the just shall live by faith. (Rom1:17). Thus it is a faith experiencethat the believer accepts as indisputable. There are further conditions attached to this.1 John 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him,
because we keep his commandments
and do those things
that are pleasing in his sight.1 John 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments
dwelleth in him, and he in him
. Andhereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.Joh 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: andhe that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him,
and will manifest myself to him
.Joh 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me,
he will keep my words
:and my Father will love him, and
we will come unto him, and make our abode with him
.There are two important things that must be in place before anyone can say 'I love Christ'.First His commandments must be my
. (v21). I only possess His commandmentswhen it has become my lifestyle. Secondly I must guard over it so that it does not vanishedfrom my life again. The meaning of 'keepeth' in the original language is to keep one's eyecontinuously on it and guards over it as one guards great treasure!Only when these conditions are met, the full revelation and manifestation of Christ becomes avery personal experience. Not only this, God Almighty takes up His rightful dwelling place inthat believer. That person's whole existence becomes God. It is clearly not a rare experiencethat seldom if ever cross roads with the average believer but a general lifestyle set apart forevery follower of Christ! The effect is permanent as Christ says: “
we will come unto him,
and make our abode with him”
.It is at this stage when the following words of Christ turns in to reality, Joh 14:12-15 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; andgreater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. (13) And whatsoever yeshall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. (14) If yeshall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. (15) If ye love me, keep my commandments. If one carefully investigates this matter, it becomes clear that the commandments of Christplays a central role in our relationship with Him. 1 John 5:2-3 By this we know that we lovethe children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. (3)
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments
: and his commandments are not grievous. In view of this I am going to list His commandments as they appear in The Gospel of Luke toserve as a gauge in our lives to see if God's commandments have become our lifestyle. Whatis the difference between God's commandments and that of Christ? John 14:10 Believestthou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me?
the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself
: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.THE COMMANDMENTS OF CHRIST1
your enemies – Luk 6:272
D o goo
to them which hate you – Luk 6:273
them that curse you – Luk 6:284
P ra
for them which despitefully use you – Luk 6:285And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek
offer also the other
– Luk 6:296Him that taketh away thy cloke
forbid not to take thy coat also
– Luk 6:297
to every man that asketh of thee – Luk 6:308Him that taketh away thy goods
ask them not again
– Luk 6:309And as ye would that men should do to you,
do ye also to them
likewise – Luk 9:3110Your love must
be visible to all
, not only to those who love you – Luk 6:3211
You must do good to all
, not only to those who does good to you – Luk 6:3312
also to those that you know cannot give it back to you – Luk 6:3413
your enemies – Luk 6:35 (MUST BE IMPORTANT IF IT IS REPEATED).14
Lend, hoping for nothing again
; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be thechildren of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and
the evil – Luk 6:3515
Be ye therefore merciful
(give unmerited forgiveness), as your Father also is merciful – Luk 6:3616
Judge not
, and ye shall not be judged – Luk 6:3717
Condemn not
, and ye shall not be condemned – Luk 6:3718
, and ye shall be forgiven – Luk 6:3719
Give, and it shall be given unto you
; good measure, pressed down, and shakentogether, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure thatye mete withal it shall be measured to you again – Luk 6:3820
First cast out the beam out of your own eye
, and then you shall see clearly to pull outthe splinter that is in your brother's eye – Luk 6:42Many Christians don't take these commandments seriously. They trust that the grace of Godis so great that it does not matter if you keep His commandments or not. Listen to what Godsays about this matter, Joh 3:36 LITV The one believing into the Son has everlasting life;
but the one disobeying the Son will not see life
, but the wrath of God remains on him. Christasks very explicitly to this kind of Christian, Luk 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do
