Gate Fold Pocket Card

By Leigh Ann Baird

This cute little pocket card is the perfect size to hold a gift card! It’s
also a good size to slip in with a gift and the best part… no envelope is
needed! I’ve made a template for you to make it easy that includes
decorative mats. With a few supplies, you can make a stand out project.

Supply List:
1 sheet 8.5 x 11 cardstock
Pattern paper
Scor-Tape or similar adhesive
Scissors
Craft Knife
Ruler
SU Slot punch
Ribbon

Instructions:

Step One:

Print the template onto your cardstock, cut and score. The solid
lines are cut lines and the dashed lines are score lines. Make sure
page scaling is set to NONE when you print. Template is provided
at the end of this tutorial.

At this point I like to decorate my card with stamping and

pattern paper before I assemble it.

Step Two:

Apply adhesive to the tabs on the

pocket portion and adhere to inside
of card just above the bottom edge.
Step Three:

Lightly trace your gift card with pencil on the insert.

With a craft knife and ruler, cut a slit diagonally
across each bottom corner to hold the gift card in
place. Erase the pencil marks.

Step Four:

I used the Stampin' Up slot punch to punch the ribbon holes.

Thread your ribbon through and tie to keep your card closed.

Step Five:

You are finished and ready

to decorate the front of your
card as you desire!

Try it! We would love to see what you make with this tutorial! Tag your
