Religion

Reality

The
contributors
to
this
volume
are
among
the
most
distinguished
scholars
of
this
cen-
tury.
Each
was
invited
to
state
his
views
on
the
relations
of
science
and
religion,
without
benefit
of
seeing
his
associates'
contribu-
tions.
Hence,
each
contributor
speaks
inde-
pendently
and
forhimself,
but
at
the
same
time
presents
a
viewpoint
which
has
many
adherents.
The
"Reality"
in
the
title
is
not
an
after-
thought
it
is
part
of
the
content
and

pose
of
the
book.
For

to
answer
the
question:
How
complete
and
satisfying
can
a
reality
be
which
is
seen
ex-
clusively
through
the
eyes
of
the
scientist
or
exclusively
through
the
eyes
of
the
man
of
religion?
Was

Reason?
When
this
book
was
originally
published
in
1925,
it
was
immediately
recognized
as
a
document
of
unusual
significance,
a

able
cooperative
