 We understand by videodance, the choreographic work made specifically for
display on screen, where body language is merged with the audiovisual
language. This includes choreographies designed to be filmed, elaborations for
film/video of previous performances and choreographies or animations based on
the composition of movement. We see the videodance as a form of deeply
comtemporary artwork, which allows aesthetic research and development of
countless local and collective origins, by the way (and therefore), we are invited to
attend the upcoming international circuit of viewing and dissemination of this
creative genre.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE EXHIBITION:

1. In the FIRST PHASE is launched this call for dual character:

a. to send video dance works have already been made in video format, from
anywhere in the world.
b. to form teams project between artists, students, fans and supporters from
various creative areas: dance, visual, theater, music and arts, among others.

2. The SECOND PHASE will cover the simultaneous display of all the material
gathered in the same day and time correlation between the participating cities,
with the option to participate each city (which has the technical means) in an
interactive video conference between artists, academics and public.

3. The simultaneous display of the videos received will be conducted within the 1st

Videodance International-Simultaneous Exhibition interconexiones, on Thursday

27th, Friday 28th and Saturday 29th May 2010, in:

4. The call is not competitive, so there is no economic incentive.

5. In the last and THIRD PHASE creations received will be published in a special
edition DVD, which will be sent to the participants.

CALL

a. Can participate every artist and/or work equipment, of any nationality without age
limit.

b. Work will receive a maximum age of 4 years (2006), with a maximum of 6

minutes (time may exceed that due justification).

c. Each artist and/or working groups may submit up to 2 works.

d. Accepted only dance creations made specifically for screen display, no records or
documentary will work out of that format.
e. Copies are requested on CD or DVD (no labels on the cover), in AVI format
encoded in PAL or NTSC, properly identified.

f. Through www.interconexiones2010.blogspot.com facilitates the REGISTRATION

FORM, which must be submitted by mail with the DVD.

g. It should also send e-mail 2 photos (stills) video with a resolution of 300 dpi for
publication.

h. The curatorial committee will select the works according to minimum standards of
quality and aesthetic content.

i. The receipt of material will be confirmed by e-mail.

j. The materials will not be returned.

k. All works selected by the curatorial committee, will to be collected in a DVD-

catalog, which will be sent 2 copies to each participant.

l. The organizing committee will decide the place, date and order of display of the
selected works, like the thematic order of the speakers.

m. Shipping of work, from its origin to the address of the organizing committee, shall
be borne by the participants.

n. Receipt of materials by the curatorial committee will accept the basis of the sample.

ELIGIBILITY for the VIDEOCONFERENCE*

as location:

• MCU-videoconference equipment, compatible with H.261, H.263 and

H.264 protocols.

as speaker:

• Send pre-trial curatorial committee, who will prepare a thematic sequence

that reconciles the works received.
• Complete and send the section on the registration form for
videoconferencing.
