On Load Tap Changer Type M
General Manual
The type M On –Load tap changers are used to vary theratio of oil-immersed transformers under load .In generalthey are designed for network transformer as well asindustrial transformer applications. The tap changercomprises of a diverter switch and a tap selector in a singlecolumn design and represent the most recent state oftechnology . The tap changer offers both transformermanufacturer and user a great number of essentialadvantages.
On-Load tap changer Type MVersatility
Three pole design for neutral application at 350 A, 500A and 600 A ratings for three phase wye- connectedwindings.
Three pole fully insulted design , at 350 A and 600Aratings for the three phase delta or auto connectedwindings.
Single pole design at 350 A, 500A , 600A , 800A , 1200A,1500A and 1800A ratings for auto connected windingsor single –phase transformers.
Available up to 34 steps and 35 positions
Insulation to ground and tap selector size can beselected independently of one another.
Convenient for bell type tank installation
Additional devices for potential tie-in of tap windingduring change over selector (tie-in resistor, tie-incontact).
Optional extras, especially for the application inindustrial transformers.
Compactness
High speed transition resistor type diverter switch witharc extinction at the first current zero.
Diverter switch uses snap action mechanics by energyaccumulator mounted directly on the diverter switch.
Minimum possible tap selector dimensions becausefive available sizes ensures matched impulse voltagewithstand ability.
Radial dimensions of the tap selector are reduced byspecial shaping of all parts on high potential, distancesbetween tap selector bars determined by actual voltagestress.
Optimised integration of the change over selector in tofine selector contact circle.
