An hour of learning environment and English simultaneously ?? this is what Green Lifestyle English Class is all about. Mr. LukePoliszcuk, an experienced English teacher for Japanese and also, an organizer of Green Leaders Forum, made a visit to Eco Plazaonce again on April 13th to hold the second pre-session of the class. Eco Plaza was again, transformed into non-Japanese atmos-phere. Just like the previous session, an article from the Voice of America was used as a study material. The article is about the Envi-ronmental Film Festival, which is held every year in Washington D.C., and the students were given 4 questions from the article. The most difficult question that the students encountered was to name films that were shown on the festival. Since some of the films were originated from non-English speaking countries, an Italian film,
“
Tierra Madre
”
(Mother Earth) was very difficult to hear itthrough and spell it out. All the students were focusing on the source of the broadcast, the speakers. The students also discussed on what they could come up from a title of a movie
“
Seeds of Hunger
”
by linking what they
’
ve already known about environment.
“
All the students were so eager to speak out in English and I
’
m very confident that their skills will improve. I
’
m so looking for- ward to the proper session from June.
”
Mr. Poliszcuk grinned after the class. The last pre-session of Green Lifestyle English Class will be held in May.
