Verona School Board Election.As a life-long and active resident of Verona, I amdedicated to making education a communityinitiative. Together, we can enhance theeducational experience within our schools.Enclosed is an article about my candidacy thatwas recently published in the Verona-Cedar Grove Times. Throughout the past year it has been an honor to serve the Veronacommunity and contribute to the development of our educational system.We recently implemented various improvements to our curriculum designand technological infrastructure. The development of a sound curriculumdesign while supporting our teachers through professional development isessential to a truly enriching learning environment.During the 2009 campaign, I discussed the importance of ensuring thatstudents, educators and the community have the best access to toolscentered around 21

century technology. In 2010, a new Student InformationSystem is coming to the Verona Schools that will help facilitate the learningprocess. It will enable parental access to valuable student information fromhome such as report card grades while streamlining the administrative andstudent data tasks.As a member of the Verona Board of Education, I am dedicated to preservingand enhancing the communications link between the community and theschool system. I look forward to continuing my collaborative work with thecurrent board members during my term.Our firm commitment to excellence in education can only be enhancedthrough sustained community support.
