Kappa Kappa Gamma Stresses Importance of Academics

STATESBORO, Ga., Sept. 22, 2009-

Kappa Kappa Gamma on GeorgiaSouthern University¶s campus implemented a new academic program thatdramatically increased their overall grade point average.³As members of Kappa Kappa Gamma we are also students of GSU,focusing on our academics to benefit the GSU community is our number onegoal,´ Crystal Carlson, vice president of academic excellence said. The study program was started in January 2009, and

was

extremely successful for thesorority.During the Fall 2008 semester the chapter received a 2.97 GPA. This pastSpring 2009 semester the chapter received a 3.14 GPA.Kappa Kappa Gamma¶s spring 2009 GPA received the highest GPA thechapter has ever had which is above the Panhellenic sorority average of a 3.12and above the Greek average of a 3.11. Kappa Kappa Gamma came in thirdamong all of the 29 fraternities and sororities registered at GSU.-more-
