The organizations exceeded their goal and raised $4,000for the local battered women¶s shelter.³The event was a huge success,´ Kaitlyn Morris, Kappa Kappa Gamma philanthropy chair said. ³Our goal was to raise $1,500 dollars; we exceeded our goal, and could not be more excited.´This is the second year and have paired up to host the LowCountry Boil. ³Pairing up for the event gives us the advantage of reaching morestudents, community members and faculty members,´ Morris said.The event was held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Greek Row Sept. 24. Peopleattending the Low Country Boil enjoyed a large plate of food, a glass of sweet tea,and live music from Southbound, a local band from Statesboro, for the low priceof $5.-more-
