Encourage scholarly fellowship at all levels of the Society
Implement strategies to increase membership acceptance
Enroll the chapter in the Pinnacle Scholarship Award Program

Take and present minutes at each chapter meeting
Maintain the chapter calendar of events

Photograph chapter events
Maintain a record of chapter events, including photos, flyers and newspaper articles,for the Chapter Record Book 
Compile and update contact information for members

Keep a set of financial records
Present the chapter’s financial records at meetings
File all financial records in the chapter’s official files at the end of each academicterm
 Note: Many colleges require that a chapter advisor approve expenditures. Officers should consult the advisor to determine the college’s policies on finances for campus organizations.

Promote the chapter at all levels of the Society
Write and submit articles to campus and community newspapers
Produce issues of the chapter newsletter 
Oversee the development and updates to the chapter website
Take photographs at all chapter events
Student Government Association (SGA) Representative
Your attendance to the Phi Theta Kappa chapter meetings is expected at all times sothat you stay informed of what activities the chapter plans to perform and will requestauthorization for.
All activity requests are to be approved by the SGA. Your presence at the SGAmeetings is required for any activity to be approved. SGA may table club activities if the SGA representative is not present during their meeting.
As of the spring semester of 2009, the SGA Senate meets every Thursday, from12:30 pm until 1:30 pm in Room J-202. Please be on time.
You need to attend chapter meetings as well as SGA Senate meetings. Please makesure your class and work schedule do not conflict with the times and dates of themeetings.
If you need to be absent for an SGA meeting, please notify your chapter Presidentand/or Vice President ahead of time so that she/he may find you an alternate.
After you attend the SGA meeting, email your chapter President and Vice-presidentand report the main topics discussed during the meeting and confirm if activitiesrequested were approved or tabled.
During the SGA meetings, the representatives will be asked to vote on certainactivities and/or proposals. When voting, keep in mind the ideals of the chapter.
Maintain copies of all SGA meeting minutes as the chapter may need to refer to themfor required information.
