Bravo! Wholebrainedly agree about the parts that discuss the problems with modern politics and the idealogues. Especially that the Republican party has lost most of its ties to the conservative movement.
However, its a big stretch to try to label Barrack Obama as a conservative. The ideas embraced by a conservative are contextual. For instance, a conservative in the United States of America would embrace the traditions of the nation. The nation started out based on the principal of a very limited government which is spelled out quite specifically in our constitution quite literally. These values have deteriorated over time to the point where most people cannot even understand the concept of limiting government power without confusing it with some popular idealogy or taking part in the class warfare mind-set.
Barrack seems to favor federal government solutions to most problems, and this is contrary to the values upon which the US was founded and therefore not a conservative viewpoint according to the true definition of conservatism.
