Skoool Survey Among DepEd Subject Matter Experts
The survey was conducted in 20 July 2007 during the last day of a 3-day curriculumrealignment workshop for the Department of Education (DepEd). There were 26 subject matter experts on Math and Sciences from 15 regions who participated in the workshop. There were 18respondents out of the 26 subject matter experts who attended, representing 69.23% of totalworkshop participants. Of these respondents, 12 are subject matter experts for Science and 6 for Math.
The 3-day workshop gave the subject matter experts a run-through of Skoool.ie's learningobjectives, teaching design and how it can be aligned into the existing DepEd secondary educationcurriculum. The survey was given at the end of the workshop and measured four major components:instructional design, content, multimedia use and learner interface. At the end of the survey, therespondents were asked if they were willing to use the Skoool e-learning system for teaching.

Based on the survey, all 18 respondents agree with the following, that:1.the learning objectives and goals of the e-learning application are appropriately and clearlystated.2.the presentation and organization of the content, as well as the related activities, support thespecified learning objectives and goals.3.the learning objectives and goals of the e-learning application can be correlated to the specificstandard and performance criteria in the education system.4.the instructional content of the digital material can address certain needs of the school'sstudent5.the instructional content can be used in a variety of settings6.the e-learning application supports the desired instructional strategy7.the clear method of measuring the achievement of learning goals and objectives are providedwithin the digital materialHowever, only 2 (11.11%) out of 18 respondents disagree that e-learning application encourages andsupports reflection, deep thinking, knowledge integration and making connections. These tworespondents are from the Science cluster.
