This isn't particularly a meaningful comparison unless you adjust it to constant dollars.

The CBO releases only data for the last 40 years. I started keeping this graph some years ago and the first years have already "disappeared" from the CBO site. I'd really like to build the graph backward for as long as such data has been being kept. Does anyone know where to get this data?
