Reference File Utilities in MicroStation
FDOT provides Reference File Utilities in the Cadpilot menu. This tool is good for changing some reference file settingsin multiple files.1.
Launch Reference Tools2.
The Reference File Tools Dialog Box is loaded. In this example we are going to Process Multiple Design Files inour current working directory and subfolders. Files to include will be all the roadway plans sheets (planrd*.*).Files to Ignore are set to the default.

Add File Operation4.
Add file operation creates tab 01. For this example we will change the referenced border file from the currentmodel to the John Mazeres model for all the roadway plan sheets. Set the Criteria tab as shown below. Theutility will look for the reference file named bdplrd01.dgn in every file in the working directory and subfolderthat fits the search criteria planrd*.*
