SHOCK
is a serious medical conditionwhere the tissue perfusion isinsufficient to meet demand fooxygen and nutrients.

Pathophysiology

recipitating cause of shock  Circulating blood volume Cardiac output
Hypotension and  tissue perfusion
Baroreceptors stimulated Sympathetic stimulationand cardiovascular systemArteriolar constriction Blood pressure
 Heart rate;  contractility
 Cardiac outputVenous constriction Venous returnAdequate blood volume, aneffective cardiac pump, and aneffective vasculature arenecessary to maintain blood pressure and tissue perfusion. When one of the threecomponents of this system begins to fail, the body is able tocompensate to increased work  by the other two. Whencompensatory mechanism canno longer compensate for thefailed system, body tissues areinadequate perfused and shococcurs. Without promptintervention, shock progresses, resulting in organ dysfunction, organ failure, and death.
