Hand tools neededto remove radioAccessory tools needed to test andwire the new radio
TOOL TIPS:
Small Battery
: use a battery to test speaker wires. Touching the (+) positiveand (-) negative baterry leads to a pair of speaker will cause the speaker tomake a “Pop” sound indicating that pair of wires goes to that speaker.
Voltage Meter
: Always check +12 Volt power wires for voltage beforemaking wire connections. These wires will fluctuate between 10 and 14 Volts.
Solder Iron or Crimp Tool
: make wire to wire connections using either asolder iron and electrical tape, OR plastic crimp terminals found at mosthardware or auto parts stores.
PLUS: Wire ties or electrical tape
: to neatly bundle and organize yourwires for a professional appearance.

:Locate the plastic dash panel that surroundsthe air conditioner controls. With your hands,firmly but gently pull this panel until it unsnapsfrom the main dash.
STEP 3
:Move to the left of the steering wheel andunsnap the plastic dash panel whichsurrounds the headlight switch.
Remove Factory Radio
STEP 2
:Once the plastic panel has been unsnapped,locate and remove three (3) phillips screwswhich secure the lower part of the upper dashpanel that surrounds the radio and instrumentsdisplay.
STEP 4
:Once the plastic panel has been unsnapped,locate and remove two (2) phillips screwswhich secure the lower part of the upper dashpanel that surrounds the radio and instrumentsdisplay.
Radio Removal Note
:To replace the radio in this vehicle, you mustremove the plastic dash panel surrounding theradio and instrument display.
