Personally, | wouldn't have wasted time even asking for permission. If there is any concern of the data integrity as
part of the work proposed (data integrity of [INI worksheet not PST files), I would proceed by making a backup
copy of the original data sheet, naming it appropriately, make it read only, and than perform the outlined work
Than, | would notify those involved that the work was available for review and comment.
| can’t authorize you to perform work on a spreadsheet created by a Director. Now, if you would have proposed
‘making copies of it frst, which again, why would you ask, | could easily say —— Ok?
Toall,
I'm concerned that ll believes that he has been given instructions to seek permission/authorization for
everything he or the group works on. This includes work with literally no impact potential to what we are really
trying to protect — the PST files. When did we impose the *don't apply commonsense” rule?

T can’t think of reason why we should disapprove these 3 requests.

Oversight Team,
Request approval for the following actions:
1) Update IIE master spreadsheet (v. 26) to reflect OMB file move (318 "2005" files) from GS to HS
(copy already completed) (approx. 442 GB).
2) Update IH master spreadsheet (v. 26) to place all 14 UNK (Unknown) files on new H$ and write
script to move them (approx. 8.18 GB).
3) Update| master spreadsheet (v. 26) to place all 1069 UNK-SR (Unknown - Search Results)
les on new HS and write script to move them (approx. 774 GB).
This will total approx 1.2 TB (leaving .8 TB free) on the new HS for OMB to "grow" the rest of
2008.
Thanks, A
