    On September 25, 2007 Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) filed a lawsuit against the Executive Office of the President, the Office of Administration and the National Archives and Records Administration in the District Court for the District of Columbia.     Phase Ill Timeline Summary Decision Needed igned contract or verbal authorization to proceed from by COB 9/11 PIVIT and Evaluation of Tapes (September) + Sample tapes to be provided to CACI on 9/16 for-evaluation 1, OCIO to provided copied tapes or CAC! to bring duplicator * File directory tree of PIVIT data by 9/19 + Access to PIVIT by 09/27 1, OCIO to purchase media § Copying, Cataloguing and Restoring Tapes (October to December 1 or 15) * CACTI to begin copying tapes 24/7 on 10/1 (CAC! techs will come by work order) 1. Prior to 10/1 date, CACI will order duplication equipment. OCIO will also work with CACI to make power changes to space at Dakota 2. Tapes containing 112 PSTs will be copied and sent to Lanham, MD by 10/7 1. Unduplicated results will be returned in XX weeks and OCIO will run through PIVIT to determine if PSTs resolve any low days ‘ DECISION: 112 PSTs could resolve low days and affect sample size. Phase Il resources to be involved in recommendation (statistician and PIVIT technical staff) 2. Coneurrently, CACI will de-duplicate and ingest into their “copy” of PIVIT to utilize during the catalogue review process ‘+ Tapes will be copied and sent to Lanham in batches of 738/day and catalogued 1. Chain of Custody standards will be followed — all tapes to be bar-coded and tracked 2. Current schedule calls for OCIO daily review of catalogue to make restore determinations 3. File Catalog database will reside in Lanham and EOP will have access to that database for searches in Lanham + 29,000 tapes will be catalogued by 11/14 and decision for restore will need to be made ona rolling basis ‘+ The final day for a restore decision will be 11/28 1. Current cost is for 6,000 tapes, which includes the 112 PSTs, 32 low days, and sample of 25 to 35 days. ‘+ Final restoration request NLT COB 11/28 (no more than 2000 tapes) Hfneeded by 12/1, the following dates would move up: Tape sample by 9/16 Dakota space ready by 9/26 Access to PIVIT by 9/25 Final restoration decision by 11/18 GEORGE W.
