BETSY PARSONS

(Owner/Director –Voice &Drama Teacher)

Mrs. Parsons graduated from the University of Nevada,Reno, with Degrees in Music Education and ElementaryEducation. She has taught in the Washoe CountySchool District for twenty years. Her love of the artsbegan with ballet, which she studied for over thirteenyears in California and Nevada. Mrs. Parsons laterdiscovered her true passion was Music Education. Shehas specialized in children’s voice since 1994, and hasdirected and taught children’s musical theatre since1995, which led her to create SceneStealers in 1998.

DANIELLE GRIMM

(Manager/Director/Choreographer – Dance &Drama Teacher)

Danielle began dancing at the ageof three. Her thirty-two years of experience andtraining include numerous styles of dance: jazz, ballet,tap, lyrical, hip hop, contemporary, and pointe. At theage of ten she began competing nationally and wonnumerous awards throughout her career. Danielle hasdone featured choreography for dance companies fromReno, Sparks, and Las Vegas. She has extensiveexperience in choreography, staging, and production.She began specializing in teaching children’s danceand musical theatre in 1998 when she joined theSceneStealers staff.

ALLEY PAULETTO

(Broadway Babies - DramaTeacher)

Alley began her musical theatre training withSceneStealers in 1999, and has been teaching with ussince 2007. She has starred in many of our produc-tions, in such roles as Marion in “Music Man”, Christinein “An Evening with the Phantom”, Cosette in “LesMis”, Marty in “Grease”, and Alice in “Alice inWonderland”. Alley attends UNR , takes every danceclass available, and is a Senior member of ourPerforming/Competition Dance Team.

OUR “BABY DANCE” TEACHERS

All of our “BabyDance”

teachers are Senior Members of ourPerforming/Competition Team! They have studied dance(Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Lyrical, and Jazz) for most of their lives! They have all trained extensively as Dance Student Teacherswith Miss Danielle.

LINDSAY MATHERS

(Baby Tap)

Lindsay began hermusical theatre and dance training with SceneStealers in2002. She has starred in many roles: Sandy in “Grease”and Rose / March Hare in “Alice in Wonderland”. She hastaught Baby Ballet and Baby Tap for 3 years!

EMILY BARNARD

(Baby Jazz)

Emily began trainingwith SceneStealers in 2002. She has experience in bothmusical theatre and dance, and has been teaching Baby Jazz for 2 years!

MEGHAN BREEN

(Baby Hip Hop)

Meghan beganher musical theatre and dance training with us in 2002.She has been student teaching for 2 years, and is awonderful addition to our teaching staff!

KATE PLOEGER

(Baby Ballet)

Kate began her dancetraining with SceneStealers in 2003- she has also trained inmusical theatre, and has been student teaching for 2 years.We are so happy to have her on our teaching staff!

SceneStealers Musical TheatrePerforming Arts Classes:

Broadway Babies:

This is a special class for

4-5 year olds

that introduces themto the basic concepts of musical theatre with imaginative play(acting), creative movement, and proper vocal technique!

Senior Musical Theatre offers instruction that expands the students’knowledge of musical theatre with a wider range of acting,improvisational theatre exercises, vocals, and choreography-the main focus in this class is self confidence and stage presence!
