I’m going to be doing a series of posts on various end of the

world predictions; many of which claim that the world will end
in 2012. So, seeing as 2012 is not that far off, I thought that it
would be a great topic to look into and to try and explain some
of the nonsense that Doomsday prophets would have us
believe.
=>There have been many Doomsday predictions throughout
history; from the Mayan calendar to the bible, from the Oracle of
Delphi to Nostradamus, and more recently from pseudoscientific
groups who said we’d all disappear into a man made black hole
when the Large Hadron Collider was fired up.
=>The most popular date given for the end of the world is the
21 December 2012, which happens to be a friday, perfect
for hosting an End of The World Party – at least you’ll have the
rest of the weekend to get over a bad hangover.
To be more precise, December 21 2012 has been suggested
as the end of the world, earth as we know it.  Some say that on
an ancient Mayan calendar 2012 points to the end of the
world.  Others speak of a Nostradamus 2012 doomsday
prediction.  
=>There is in fact more than one 2012 end of the world
prediction for an earth "use by date".  It has got to the point
where the thought of a December 21 2012 doomsday is freaking
some people out.  Should you be freaked? Since the earth is still
here, it would be fair to say that, to date, all doomsday
prophecies and predictions about the end of the world (before
2012) have failed!
