Editor’s Notes
I try veryhard to keep Songwriter’s Monthly from being atypical online publication or blog. I am not interested in “reacting to” what’s going on in the entertainment industry. I’mnot looking to publish “my take” on things. I want you to get toknow the people behind the music and to really find out what ittakes to be one of those people. In an age when everyone is concerned with how fast everythingis happening, I want to take the time to try and dig a littledeeper and create something that matters to you, somethingyou’re glad you took the time to read. Hopefully you’ll findarticles within these virtual pages that you simply cannot findany place else.Songwriter’s Monthly only comes out once each month, that’s just twelve issues in a year! Crazy in this digital world of everyday bloggers. Crazy in a world where advertisers want the samepeople coming back to the same site day after day after day!But I don’t believe that’s the best strategy. I’m alreadyforgetting to check my 2010 page-a-day calendar! I truly believewe need something to anticipate. How special would yourbirthday be if you celebrated it every day?And hopefully you do look forward to Songwriter’s Monthly.Hopefully, you like each issue enough to spread the word, post alink on your site, tell your friends, tell your fans, co-workers,family and neighbors. Songwriter’s Monthly is free and sharing isgood!Very good! And sharing your thoughts and comments about the issues andarticles with me? Well, that’s good too! I look forward to hearingfrom you! Thank you for reading! Thank you for sharing! : )Allena1foster@aol.com

Thanks Adelaide! Each month we try hard to deliver a tasteful mix of music and insights into the people who create that music. Next issue is even more mainstream and jazzy . . . I can't wait to post it!

Knebworth sounds especially exciting! The tone of this magazine is very mainstream and jazzy. As well as Michael Bolton!

Fantastic issue! I, unlike fastiontips, read the magazine one or two articles at a time - go to the link, listen to the music of the artist, then when I get some more time, go to another article, and learn about another artist. Incredible article on Jamie Towrkowski. very moving.

Awesome! Hopefully, however you approach Songwriter's Monthly you get something out of it! TWLOHA (Jamie and crew) is a very cool organization, if you know of anyone struggling on a personal level, TWLOHA is a great way to set help in motion.

WOW.. another great issue! I like to read these all in one sitting because they're so interesting, but had to go out to eat half way through. Allen's way of writing about the artists/songwriters makes one feel as if they are right there, as part of the interview. Love his colorful imagery.. ie.."Natasha James' husky vocals strut through the music like a cocky outlaw" !! Also, want to comment

didn't get to finish.. Also, want to comment that I agree with Cathy Wagner, and will vote for CDs!! For their bad hair days on tour, these artists should consider getting a bandana hat. When I was touring there was nothing like this available, so I came up with one. Even have them for guys now. See www.bandanahatsplushandbags.com
