In 2009, ve Drury Design projects received NKBA Design Vision awards and two received honorable
mentions. In 2008, thirteen Drury Design projects received NKBA Design Vision Contest awards, including
rst, second and third place in the large kitchen category along with awards in the small kitchen, large bath
and small bath categories.
Drury Design congratulates Tina Muller on winning the 2008-2009 Sub-Zero and Wol Kitchen Design
Contest’s local award. Tina joined Drury Design in 2001 and is the recipient o several National Kitchen and
Bath Association [NKBA] awards. This project is also a nominee or the NKBA national design awards, to
be announced in April.
Ater a water leak damaged their home while they were on vacation, the homeowners asked Tina to design and execute a plan that included rearranging the space and completing the project as quickly as possible. The kitchen’s dining area moved to the sunroom, which made room or a abulous wine bar. Sub-Zero’s 427 wine cooler inspired the beautiul cabinets that display their pewter collection. A walnut hutch houses two Sub-Zero rerigerators while the island houses two rerigerated drawers. A 48” Wol range was a must, not only or its distinctive look, but or its cooking technology as well.
This homeowner has a passion or antiques and wanted to incorpo-
rate as many as possible in her new kitchen. The antiques included a
beautiul display cabinet, which she purchased rom The Right Stu.
The doors on this cabinet are the original windows rom an old
building in France. While this piece sets the tone or the rest o the
kitchen, it also gives the amily extra storage space. The kitchen was
all about mixing the old with the new. The ceiling beams, or example,
were made rom reclaimed siding rom a barn on a nearby arm, and
the fooring eatures vintage distressed white oak boards.
First-time remodelers, these homeowners embarked on an ambitious project that included completely changing the layout o two baths. The kitchen layout works within the original ootprint. The glass counter at the end o the cabinetry wall sets the whole project o and picks up the color in the tile. We decided to keep the design simple and transitional in keeping with the home’s ranch style by using contrasting moldings to rame the design.
“It is always a pleasure working with Drury Design. Not only do they
create outstanding kitchen designs, but their attention to detail is
not compromised – the same philosophy o Sub-Zero and Wol.”

With plumbing permanently embedded into a concrete oundation, this kitchen’s layout
presented a signicant design challenge. Solutions included designing the work area
around the sink, gaining space by extending out into the amily room and improving
workfow by relocating the garage door. Though it seemed impossible, the homeowners
now have the large and ecient entertaining center they dreamed about. An art wall
displays the piece the couple had made or the space in Napa Valley.
For the eleventh consecutive year, Drury Design Kitchen and Bath Studio received
The Grabill Cabinet Company’s top Dealer Sales Award. Exceeding customer expectations,
innovative designs, and quality cratsmanship contribute to a successul
