THE SEARCH FOR TUN TAVERN

The search for Tun Tavern, Samuel Nicholas and 18
th
Century Philadelphia has beenunderway for some time now since it was withdrawn over a year ago. Historicaldocuments wait for years even centuries to be discoverd and interpretated. Carefullyplaced interpretively together in a manuscript, the writing can produce rich full andtelling dimension. The SFTT manuscript is running about 250 pages at present. A samplechapter is forthcoming. I hope to finish it by the end of this summer (2011). For the 400or so early scribd readers and students I am leaving this original bibliography which hasnow about doubled in size. I have placed an image map of 18th Century Philadelphia onmy website, should any readers wish to explore the environs of this story. To access themap and icons go to,http://www.taowriter5000.com/IMVarleTOTIM.htmlI believe this
non commercial

Later periods, for some unknown reason, required recruits to answer questions with ‘Sir!” initiating theanswer and ending with “Sir”. In 1963 “Sir!” was used only when initiating
 any
communication withofficers or NCO Drill Instructors.
“Sir! Private Malsbary requests to speak with the Drill Instructor.”

A professor’s or teacher’s income in this highest tax bracket strongly suggests a pitiful shift of society’sregard for education in the 18
th
Century as compared to the present day in the U.S.

A search for mercantile house will generate many listings located in India. It’s a term remnant fromBritish Colonial India and the East India Company. It is a warehouse and business office.
