In Hinduism, Lord Mahavishnu is anaspect of Vishnu, the Absolute whichis beyond human comprehension and is beyond all attributes. In Vaishnavitetheology, the term is similar to Brahmanand Almighty God. It is also often used interchangeably with Vishnu to indicate
reverence, as the prex “Maha” exalts the
noun to which it is attached. Mahavishnuis said to lie in the causal ocean or theOcean of milk, in the bed of a great
serpent having ve heads. The ve headed
serpent is known as Adhiseshan and heis the bed, throne, umbrella and shoes of  Lord Mahavishnu. It is a rare pose to see Lord Mahavishnu sitting in the serpent throne with his consort Mahalakshmi. In this pose Lord Mahavishnu is knownas Lakshminarayana. All the natural
elements like sky, re, water, air and
ether are created and also along with that are created mind, intelligence and falseego. After, this Mahavishnu enters eachof the many universes so created (seedsemerging from the pores of his skin). It can be understood that Mahavishnuis the collective of all souls in all of the universes. The wonderful pose of  Lakshminarayana adorns thecover pageof this issue. The Lakshminarayanais the incharge of all the wealth and  fortunes. By praying this wonderful posethe devotees are blessed with fortune and wealth.
