“War of the Wings”Help Kappa Delta Fight Child Abuse

The sisters of Kappa Delta sororityare proud to host their 26
th
Annual Shamrock Event for the prevention of child abuse. A $14,000 goal has been set this year in which all proceeds benefit Prevent Child Abuse America Inc., (PCAA) and we need your helpto reach this goal.“War of the Wings” will be held Thursday, April 2 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Kappa Delta House. Tickets to the event are $5 and availablefrom sisters of Kappa Delta. Twenty-two local restaurants are donatingthousands of wings and their taste will be judged by all participants of theevent. Local band, Southbound will be entertaining while everyone enjoyswings, door prizes, a dunking tank, raffles, and fun!Eighty percent of the funds collected will remain in Statesboro’s childabuse prevention programs. The remaining twenty percent will go to PCAA.Founded in 1897, Kappa Delta Sorority began supporting PCAA in1981, and began the annual nationwide Shamrock Event in 1983. More than$7.1 million has been raised through the Shamrock Event to benefit childabuse prevention efforts across the country.###
