1.0 PROJECT IDENTIFICATION AND DOCUMENT OVERVIEW

1.1 Project Identification

This document is the Gap Analysis for the Electronic Communications Records Management System (ECRMS) for the Executive Office of the President (EOP).

1.2 Document Overview

This document is used for projects involving system replacements and upgrades. It is a tool for determining whether the original system requirements are met by the new system requirements. If any old system requirements are not covered by new system requirements and are still required, the additional requirements are added to the new System Requirements Specification (SRS), as appropriate. If any old system requirements are no longer required by the new system, a short description of the reason why is provided.

1.3 Reference Documents

Three documents were used in conducting the ECRMS Gap Analysis:

• Document 1 - An undated draft of the System Requirements Specification (SRS) for the Automated Records Management System To Resolve Oasis Information Gathering (Armstrong)

• Document 2 - An updated version of Document 1, also undated

• ECRMS System Requirements Specifications (SRS), January 20, 2004.
