On May3, 2010, Charlottesville Police OfficersS. Bayles andM. Flaherty were summonedto the address of 222 14th, Street NW, in the Cityo f
Charlottesville, for a report ofan unrespom,ive female. Charlottesville-Albemarle Rescue Squad personnel arrived and attempted life saving
procedureson the female withno success. The female, later identifiedas Yeardly Love, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The witnesses at the scene, Caitlin Whiteleyand Phillippe Oudshoorn, described finding Yeardly Love face downonher pillow in her bedroom. There
was a pool of bloodonher pillow. Love had a large bruise on the right side of her face which appears to have been caused by blunt force trauma.
Love's right eye was swollen shutand there were bruises and scrapestoh e rchin.
The door to Love'sb e d r o o m had been forced 9pen and had a holein it that appeared to have been made bya fist.Y o u r affiant observed that hairs
were visiblein the hole.

On May3,2 0 1 0, your affiant spoke with George Huguely at the Charlottesville Police Department afterhe had been advised and waived his rights
under Miranda. George Huguely admitted thaton May3,2010, he was involvedinan altercation with Yeardly Love and that during the course of the
altercation he shook Love and her head repeatedly hit the wall. Huguely admitted that he kicked his right foot through the door that leads to Love's
bedroom.Y o u r affiant has observed injuries on the right leg of Huguely that arec o n s i s t e n t withkickingan object, suchas a door. Huguely stated that
the front door to thea p a r t m e n t was unlocked.
