Directors, program staff, and boardmembers are all welcome to attend.The Office of Special EducationPrograms (OSEP) asks that yourbudget reflect that the ProjectDirector attend from each center.

 Conference to ensure you receive the great rates, andbecause the Region 5 PTAC needs the credit to avoidextra fees (please do

book your room on thehotel’s website). If you need to cancel your reservation,you must do so 72 hours prior to arrival to avoidcancellation fees.
Travel:
 
Your center is responsible for booking flights, travel toand from the airport, and at least one hotel roomreservation (see Region 5 PTAC’s special offer foradditional hotel rooms below). If flying, all participantsshould fly in and out of the Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC). SLC is conveniently locatedapproximately 8 miles from the Hotel Monaco. Thereare several transportation options from SLC to the hotelincluding: the city bus ($2/person), Express Shuttle($8/person), taxis ($17-20 each way), and, if you aretraveling with multiple guests and make arrangementsahead of time, VIP Transportation (801-403-2800) isanother option ($8-$9/person).

encourage as much participation aspossible at the conference, the Region5 PTAC will cover the cost of oneadditional hotel room for staff or aBoard member from your center for up to 2 nights.Since it is an expectation that centers cover the costs oftheir Director’s participation at this conference, thissecond room can hopefully support additionalparticipation from your Parent Center. The Region 5PTAC must include these special reservations on ourmaster bill, so if your center would like to takeadvantage of this offer, please complete the informationat the bottom of the registration form.
Parking:
Exclusive valet parking is availableat the Hotel Monaco for $17 perday with in and out privileges.There are several other parkinggarages and options very close tothe hotel – prices vary.

Conference Reception – June 2nd:
 Each of our parent centers worktremendously hard, and we alldeserve a chance to relax andenjoy some of Utah’s beauty!On Wednesday, June 2, from5:00-7:00 pm there will be areception at the Red ButteBotanical Garden and Arboretumwww.redbuttegarden.org ). Appetizers and beverageswill be provided. Transportation will be available, and ifyou have a vehicle, we may ask that you help carpool.
Pre-Conference Day For Directors – June 2
 
 A pre-conference day for Parent Center and StateEducation Agency (SEA) Directors regardingrelationships between SEAs and Parent Centers andcollaboration around Indicator 8 is being planned.Invitations will be coming soon. This session will be co-sponsored by the Mountain Plains Regional ResourceCenter and the Region 5 PTAC.
