When I first heard about Todd Bently's ministry, I was excited. I wanted to see God's power manifested on Earth. The darkness is growing darker every day. We need the light to be doing the same. After watching a video of him in action, my opinion changed. It looked like a vulgar display of the flesh to me. The problem I have now is that I really like Rick Joyner and his books. I can't bring myself to lump them in the same category as a previous poster has. My church seeks for the power of the Holy Spirit. Some speak in tongues and we attempt to heal people (and at least one one occasion healed the associate pastor of blindness in one eye). I'm standing in the middle between two camps able to see both sides of the issue but not being able to embrace either totally. Woe unto him who calls good evil and evil good. I was not aware that Bently's tattoos were applied after he became a Christian. That does provide more ammunition for concern. Donald James Parker Author of Reforming the Potter's Clay

I would like to comment about Todd Bentley.He is a powerfull man of God .I have been to one of his impartation servicesand i have truly walked out of there transformed and was set free fromm many things.Yes he has some imperfections but who dont.Why is it that so called christians always want to come against God"s Annointed ones?God will Judge you if you dont judge yourself.I dont care who you are you have no right to touch Gods Annointd.Its time to wake up and come into repentance andwatch what you speak.Life and death is in the power if the toung.Quit speaking curses.What you so you shall reap.Love your nieghbor as yourself.If you really love God you will not speak against your brother or sister in christ.

Dear Mr. ratwell, I believe this days delusion merits a second response. Can you back up your statements with scripture? Why would the devil heal thousands of people? I've never heard of a demon or the devil healing anyone for that matter. Would that not bring people to God? Jesus said that a house divided against itself would not stand. Come to think of it the pharisees accused Jesus of the same thing, and this just happens to be jehovahs witness doctrine also. Please be careful not to blaspheme the Holy Spirit and to attribute His Work to the devil. Again, I pray to Jesus that He will open your eyes and all the eyes of those who would destroy His Prophets. Dear Mr ratwell, You are judging something which you don't have the faintest clue about. Do you even believe what the Bible says about healing? You can always tell a pharisee by the stone in their hand. Why is it that when there is a stoning all the hypocrites come out of the woodwork? Thirst for blood? Thirty pieces of silver? Pure envy and recompense? I tend to believe it is all of the above. I started reading some of the internet slander and hate postings on Todd Bentley and I was shocked. My first question was, can these people really be christians? My second question was, do christians really do this to God’s chosen anointed? Then came to mind what Jesus said about Jerusalem, that she has always stoned the prophets and murdered those sent to her. Just like today, because modern day Christendom is the ‘New Jerusalem’. So in essence ‘New Jerusalem’ is very much like the old. The stonings and killings haven’t skipped a beat, but have moved from the natural to the spiritual. Jesus said if you are even just angry with your brother without cause you are like a murderer. The Bible tells us that Able slew Cain out of pure envy and the Pharisees did the same with Jesus. As this day I see the same thing happening to the greatest healing evangelist operating in Canada to date. I witnessed literally thousands of people getting healed at a single Todd Bentley meeting a couple of years ago, and this day people are trying to make him out to be a demon. Utter blasphemy if I may say so. I see a people seething in envy and judgment, trying to cover their own sin by stoning another. Shame on the self appointed judges. Rather pray for Todd Bentley, this gift from God sent to the church. We cannot afford to loose him. There are too many desperately ill people in the need of a miracle and few and far between who can get the job done. I believe first we must treasure what God has given us before He will give us more. Why should He send us more healing evangelists if we destroy the ones already here? I believe judgment is falling on the judges who have pigeonholed themselves into their own decrepit positions in the body of Christ by judging and stoning a God appointed prophet. And those who have shown mercy and received the prophet in the name of a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward. A prophets reward, is the reward, God gives to a prophet. Pastor Tom.

I can't believe some of these people call themselves christians. I've never seen as much hypocrisy come out of the woodwork as over this Todd Bentley slander issue. The onlt thing I have to say is - Beware of the leaven of the pharisees which is hypocrisy. There is One Judge and it's not you. There is One Virtue and it's not you. There is One Mercy and it's not you. There is One Grace and it's not you. So you were saying?

Here is what we have seen in the counterfeit revivals: People think that they have the superior experience, with speaking in tongues, flopping around all over the place, running up and down the isles, jumping the pews (yes, people actually do jump over the pews in church!! I had heard that for years, but never believed it until I actually saw it happen with my own eyes, right there in church!!), twisting around in circles, shaking violently, screaming, laughing uncontrolably, kicking, making all kinds of strange sounds (looks demonic, animal sounds and actions), supposedly speaking in tongues (I'm not anti-tongue), pushing, knocking, blowing, waving people over (falling down), slain in the spirit, etc. They think that those who don't have the radical kinds of experiences are not really filled with God's Spirit, and some will even take it a step further, and say that the "others" aren't even saved, or are not walking with God, or really don't have an intimate experience with God!!! I've been there, done that, and suffered emotional pain and distress, thinking that maybe I'm not even saved, if I don't act like "they" do! And yes, I've heard many times that the "other " people who don't have all those experiences in their church are attending dead and dried up, boring, stuffy, out-of-date, old-school, churches. Well, I've got news for you ... who are you all to judge God as to how He will move and to who He will use. Obviously you are forgetting about the countless people He use in the Bible and the methods Jesus used in his ministry. Jesus spit in the dirt and rubbed it in somone's eyes to heal them. I look at one thing when I see stuff like this and that is whether or not the spirit involved brings me closer to Jesus. I can a test that this watching this revival take place has given e a greater hunger to know Jesus than ever before. If that is demonic, than you need to check yourselves.

Could Todd Bentley be another Jim Jones? In the early stages of his ministry there are striking similarities between Bentley and Jones. In 1955, Jones was prayed for a Latter Rain Pentecostal Conference by O.L. Jaggers who pronounced that he had a very special prophetic calling on his life. Years later when he founded the People’s Temple, Jones used faith healing to draw the masses much in the same way Bentley has in Lakeland. It may be a little premature to say Bentley is treading the same course as Jones, but I think it is a possibility we must be aware of. After all no one ever thought Jones would go to the extent he did by getting 918 people to commit suicide through drinking kool-aid laced with cyanide. Bentley’s claims show that he is very dangerous spiritually as he has placed much emphasis on angels, third heaven experiences, and has claimed experiences where his spirit left his body which is known to New Agers as astral projection. Could Bentley be even more than just a spiritual danger? Could he be leading his followers down the same course that Jim Jones led the People’s Temple in 1978 to the greatest mass cult suicide in history?
