My Best friendMy best friend says I'm hard to be around. And that's just fine with me.Sometimes he can be grumpy too.So we take it by degrees.Truth be told. I don't mind.I appreciate that honesty. So few do these days.We want to be told the best. Not that we irritate or nag.We don't want people telling us.How we are annoying, dumbOr fat!Now me I'm a simple man.No smoke and mirrors here.If you hurt me or piss me off.I speak up quite loud and clear. My friend does too.I respect that, cause it's real.Sometimes I phone and he seemsput out.So I hang up and call back later.I'm no hater. That's what true friend means. To know all there is to know and still like you.Because sometimes we all suck. And that's the truth. But I hope that he knows the specailways he has touched my life.He was there when mother diedAnd when I divorced both my wives.A steady constant. Supportive till the end.Know this sir. I appreciateall that you have done.Standing next to me. Unwavering.Commitment like I've never seen.
