    This book is designed to enable policy and decision makers, policy analysts, and other actors involved in policy making processess to appreciate the full value of Integrated Policymaking in its environmental, social and economic dimensions. It draws on decades of experience acquired by UNEP and other organizations in sustainablilty-motivated policy assessment and interprets these in the light of recent advances in public policy science. The book makes the case for IP to be considered as a normative policymaking approach, for solutions to be placed within a policy cycle, and for policy development to be aligned with prevailing political, institiûtional and analytical realities.
