eae President Haris:
thas been more than seven months since the Ohio House of Representatives passed House Bill 176 to
protect Ohio's ga, lesbian, bisexual and transgender citizens from discrimination in housing,
‘employment and public accommodations, We ae disappointed the Ohio Senate has yet to hold a hearing
‘on HB 176 despite the bipartisan suppor the legislation received in the House,
Ohio's major cities and 2 othe tates have already passed similar legislation to extend basie protections
tothe LGBT community tht so many Ohians take for granted
“The Senate Democratic Caucus strongly urges you to schedule hearings for HB 176. The citizens of
COhio—both supporters and opponents—deserve the opportunity to fully debate the merits of this
landmark equal hts legislation inthe Ohio Senate
Respectfully yours,
yon Dale Miler
