Building Automation System Manager

POSITION

The City of Hartford, Office of the Mayor is seeking to fill the position of Building
Automation System Manager. This position will manage the operation of the City’s
building automation systems, including system specification, installation, and
maintenance contracts. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of large-
scale automation systems, microprocessor technology and programming, and BAS
vendors. In addition, the candidate must have the ability to analyze data, troubleshoot
problems and recommend solutions, operate computers and a variety of software, work
independently, and prepare comprehensive reports.

QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree from an accredited school (Bachelor’s degree in mechanical
engineering is desirable) or equivalent training and 7 years of experience with automated
digital HVAC building controls in a large institution or company. 3 years experience as
a lead, foreman or supervisor is required. Computerized Maintenance Management
System experience is desirable.

This is a grant funded position and salary is commensurate with training and experience.
