My father-in-law passed away a couple of months ago. He had been in a nursing home for years. His surviving spouse got a letter saying there was a lien against their home for $114,000 because he had medicaid and the home wasn't listed in her name also. She has very low income and the house isn't worth $30,000. What can she do to keep the house and get rid of the lein?
