 Dave Nuku and Kristy Curtis are the trainers for the blue
and red team, respectively, on “The Bigger Loser Asia”.

 Curtis says, she now knows the benefit of looking good and
feeling good. “I can help others with that journey”, that’s
why she is doing this job.

 Both Nuku and Curtis have different approaches to their

tasks at hand:
- Nuku tries to get to know his
contestants first, where they are from
and also their motivations for getting
on the show.
- Curtis opts for a tough love approach.
TIPS
keeping your mind and
body healthy :
Do something small
and do it right away
 There are small, simple things you can
do straight away that will have a
tremendous effect on your health.
-Like a 20 to 30 minutes walk
around the block.

 It’s not necessarily about being able to

afford a trainer.
Look for healthy
alternatives when you shop

Take small steps at the supermarket to

improve the quality of food you buy.

Instead of getting fatty cuts of meat,

get lean cuts of meat and instead
chicken, try some fish.
Adopt a positive attitude
 Its important to curb negative
feelings.
-Use a visualisation technique to get
the contestants throught the trying
times.
Set goals and
write them down
You also have to be honest with
yourself.
-You’re not going to lose ten
kilos in a week but you can lose
one kilo a week.
 Sets small, realistic goals
every couple of week and reminds
the contestant these goals at
every training session.
Drink lots of water
There are two reason why hydration is
important:
-You need to hydrate your body so it has
enough fluid to function.
-It can help settle your hunger pangs.
Stay away from
processed food
Choose organic, so there are no
pesticides and artificial
colourings and flavourings.
-Eat six small meals a day to
keep the metabolism firing.
Get an hour of exercise
six times a week

Tr y and move at least six times a

week for one hour each time.
 Do a combination of cardio, weight
and
stretching exercises.
Get lots
of rest
It’s important to get seven
to eight hours of sleep a
night because that’s when
the body recovers.
We must have good eating
habits. Besides that, we must
have some time for exercise
to make sure our bodies are
in good condition.
