Delicious Dirt Cups
This recipe can be made with the children as a group cooking activity. Cookingwith children will get them familiar with numbers, measuring, and working as agroup. They will also love eating these yummy treats which they helped to make.They can eat them for an afternoon snack or for a dessert treat after lunch.*Note, before filling dirt cups, write each child’s name on the side of the plasticcups with a bold marker.
Things You’ll Need:
2 cups of cold milk 1 package of instant chocolate pudding2 cups of thawed cool whip20 crushed chocolate sandwich cookies with icing in the middle (chocolateor vanilla icing, it doesn’t matter).10 clear plastic cupsGummy worms*You can change the amount of each ingredient depending on the number of children in your care.
What To Do:
1. Pour milk into a large bowl and add the pudding mix. Beat at low speeduntil well blended. Let stand for 5 minutes.2. Mix cool whip and half of the crushed cookies.3. Place 1 tablespoon of the cool whip mixture in bottom of cups, then add agummy worm to each cup.4. Fill cups ¾ full with pudding mixture then add remaining crushedcookies on top.5. Garnish with gummy worms.
