Last year, we hosted a successful event to highlight the need for EU collaboration on tackling Human Trafficking. One year later, we’d liketo invite you to see how we’ve progressed and outline moreopportunities for regional collaboration.
Our aim of the morning:

We’ll highlight some constructive solutions to tackling HumanTrafficking
. This will be a chance to share knowledge and to explorepotential opportunities to access EU funds.

Representatives from the Dutch Police Force will show how we’veworked together on the
“Don’t Close Your Eyes to HumanTrafficking Campaign”
. A campaign to raise awareness of humantrafficking with the public across EU Member States.

Raise awareness of how the
new EU Member States and theirneighbours can work together with destination countries toprevent exploitation
and raise awareness of the problem. This is aprelude to an EU funding bid with Poland, Moldova – others arewelcome.

We’ll highlight the importance of EU partnership working for theUK Human Trafficking centre
and update you on our latest work andhow your regions could become involved.

Finally,
The International Organisation for Migration (IMO)
willreport on the need for accurate data collection on human traffickingin the EU.We’ll have speakers from the European Commission, Head of the UKHuman Trafficking Centre, International Organisation for Migration andmore.
