RE: Michael Cayley, Presentation for Toronto City Summit
I would like to thank Chairman Crombie and the Canadian Urban Institute fortheir invitation to attend and offer input at the Toronto City Summit.I have focused my presentation on the Toronto waterfront revitalization for threereasons:
The concentration of effort around the Toronto waterfront is the spearheadof the drive to reinvent Toronto. If we get this right, the remainder of thebroader Toronto agenda will be easier to accomplish.
My particular combination of skills and experience are best applied to thespecific challenges facing the Toronto waterfront revitalization effort.
After reviewing a wide body of quality planning and research on Toronto, Ihave found only a few areas where I believe additional input may addsignificant value to the process. I have attempted to address only theseareas. This presentation is based on years of personal experience working in relatedareas of international real estate and business development, marketing andmanagement. Please contact me if you would like further background information.Best Regards,Michael Cayley

I've been hearing alot of complaints about the harbourfront developments....looking more like a Miami water front with the big building blocking off the view, seems like the developers have more say then the rest of the city.
