Born in Redmond, WAgraduated from Skyline (WA) High
School in 2010.
Attended Bellevue Community College, 2010-12named Bellevues Most Valuable Pitcher in 2012 after going 11-0 with a
1.36 ERA (12 ER, 79.1 IP) with 107 strikeouts in 13 games.
Named the No. 1 Junior College prospect in the country by
Perfect Game and was the starting pitcher in the West Coast
Collegiate League All-Star game in 2011.
Originally selected by the Miami Marlins in the 16th round of the 2011 MLB
First-Year Player Draft, but did not sign.
Selected by Pittsburgh in the 5th round of the 2012 MLB First-Year Player Draft.
Made his pro debut with St. College in the NYP League on June 29, 2012.
Played for Scottsdale in the Arizona Fall League following the 2014 season
where he posted a 2.25 ERA (3 ER, 12.0 IP) in 10 relief appearances.
Acquired by the Mariners from the Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange for LH J.A.
Happ on July 31, 2015.

DEBUTmade his Major League debut on June 18 at Boston, becoming the 14th
Washington-born pitcher to appear in a game for the Mariners and the 6th pitcher
born in the state to make at least 1 start for Seattle (see full list below)vs. the
