No soap radio.

I was a kid from the boroughs volunteering to


help the earth. We labored under construction lights
before 4 AM and it was near noon when I finished
the barricade to keep myself away from celebrities
like Derwood Kirby and Gary Moore. Kirby as pie
eyed as Buster Keaton. Mayor Lindsey was scheduled
but I had seen him several times. I was exhausted
and went off to The Waverly for Orson Welles at
noon, there I slept.

What did the Zebra say to the elephant? No soap


radio.
That joke, so called, ushered in the new age. At
the time I questioned if the environmental
movement was not a diversion from the anti-war
movement. Earth Day has mass acceptance now but
war continues.
