This is the fourth volume of a five-volume set called The Conflict of the Ages Series. The other four volumes in the series are titled: Patriarchs and Prophets, Prophets and Kings, The Desire of Ages, and The Great Controversy. These five volumes cover the entire Bible like a commentary but in story or narrative form. Patriarchs and Prophets covers the first half of the Old Testament down to the end of the reign of King David. Prophets and Kings covers the last half of the Old Testament, from the ascension of Solomon to the throne of Israel to the prophecies of Malachi. The Desire of Ages covers the life and ministry of Jesus Christ as recorded in the four gospels. The Great Controversy covers the history, present, and future of the Christian Church from the destruction of Jerusalem in ad 70 to the end of the world with the end time prophecies of Daniel and Revelation.

This fourth volume—The Acts of the Apostles—covers the last portion of the New Testament, from the ascension of Christ to His High Priestly ministry in the temple in heaven to His return in glory as King of kings and Lord of lords. It gives the thrilling accounts of the formation and growth of the Christian church under the leadership of the Apostles and other mighty men of God such as Paul, Apollos, Barnabas, Silas, Timothy, Stephen, and Philip. Through the Early Rain outpouring of the Holy Spirit, they, with the assistance and support of many lesser-known men and women of Christ, spread the good news of the gospel of Christ to all the then known world. Their experiences and epistles form an essential ingredient of our Christian heritage and message.

The Acts of the Apostles was first published in 1911. This electronic version is a full text rendition. Over 100 hand drawn illustrations from that era have been restored and add much to its attractiveness and study value. It, with its companion volumes prepared in this same manner, make up what we sometimes refer to as the Conflict of the Ages Bible Commentary, Founders’ Edition. This inspired and inspiring series clearly presents Bible-based insights into the experiences and beliefs of God’s people down through the ages, and of the founders and pioneers of the early Christian Church. The Conflict of the Ages series was written for all faiths and will indeed continue to be of great benefit to all who desire to understand the real and awesome issues confronting humanity in these closing scenes of earth’s history.

This is an interactive PDF designed primarily for download and use in Adobe Reader (free software on the internet)—highlighting, underlining, word and phrase search, sticky notes, select, copy, paste, print, and electronic links to chapters, illustrations, and pages.
