International Women’s Conference 2010

13 – 14 August 2010, TMC, Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia

Women’s Joy Fellowship and Kuching Homemakers are organizing the International
Women’s Conference 2010 at Trinity Methodist Church, Kuching, Sarawak, on 13 and
14 August 2010. This conference will be attended by 700 women from the various
states in Malaysia, as well as participants from overseas.

In this first conference, the theme is “The Beautiful Woman”. This is the region’s premier
forum for women, and its mission is to empower women to be the beautiful women
according to biblical truth. It is our aim to provide a platform for women in this region
to come together in order to share, build, encourage and support one another.

High-profile international speakers are featured in this conference. They are Reverend
Dr. Margareth Falls from USA, Teresa Tay from Australia, and Joyce Chow from
Singapore. They will address the total beauty of a woman. The topics include inner
healing, prayer, and how to become the truly beautiful woman.

At the end of the 2-day conference, there will be a dinner to celebrate the 15th
anniversary of Kuching Homemakers and the 10th anniversary of Women’s Joy
Fellowship. This will be a fund-raising dinner through the sale of dinner ‘tables’, and an
auction of the art work of Edric Ong, President of Society Atelier Sarawak, the Arts and
Crafts Society of Sarawak in East Malaysia.

The proceeds raised from the dinner will be donated to Breakthrough Network Centre
Bhd and other mission works. This is a nonprofit organization with its mission to assist the
needs of the poor, marginalized and dispossessed people in Sarawak.

The organizers would like to encourage women in Kuching as well as other cities to
register early for the conference as the early bird ticket is priced at only RM30. After 30
June 2010, the registration fee will be RM50. We would also like to encourage
businessmen and individuals to support the celebration and fund-raising dinner by
sponsoring the dinner. There is quite a range of different prices – RM5000, RM2500 and
RM1500 per table.
