OpenOffice bug review - a PC World Thailand cover story - intentionally misinform readers to believe that OpenOffice is unusable. Most bugs reviewed aren't bugs. The writers simply know nothing about OpenOffice. They don't even have consulted any community forum or read/take any of the free ebooks, elearning, training courses available in Thailand. Some bug reviews are obviously artificially-made from reading tickets in the OpenOffice bug tracker, since they use very complex steps documented in the tickets. However, they show the steps as if it happen in real-life context.
Everyone will agree after reading the article that its intention is to discredit OpenOffice by providing misinformation. It is a brainless FUD (fear, uncertainty, and doubt) strategy. However, anyone who never use OpenOffice and read the article will never ever try OpenOffice. This may be a reaction to OpenOffice gaining recognition in Thailand big corporates. By who?, I don't know.
