2009-10 Rotary YearFellow District 5110 Membership Chairs:This Membership Manual is being provided as a resource for
Club
Membership Committees in District 5110 by the
District
MembershipCommittee. It is a valuable collection of resources that we hope you will take the timeto closely review and implement. It is intended to help clubs with themost common of questions about how to retain their currentmembership while at the same time recruit new members andencourage growth. While much of what is included in this manual are in the form of samplesand/or suggestions, the material included has proven to be successful ina number of clubs. The intention is for you to improvise and manipulatethe materials for your own clubs use. New materials will be offered onan ongoing basis through the District website, through newsletters and atseminars. We hope you find this a useful tool and more than anything, we hope it
doesn’t end
up filed on a shelf somewhere. Finally, the last page of this manual is a list of suggested materials to beincluded in a
New Member Kit
 for new Rotarians
. Much of that materialcan be downloaded from the RI website as well. The District Membership Committee includes
Area Membership Chairs
,local Membership advocates dedicated to answering your questions and
offering Membership support when you need it. A list of AMC’s with
their contact information is included in this manual. We encourage youto take advantage of this resource when you need a speaker, arestruggling with growth and/or retention or even when you are having anamazing year, in which case we would like to recognize your success.Thank you for volunteering for the Membership Chair position in yourclub. Membership is truly the cornerstone of Rotary because withoutmembership, there is no Rotary.Yours in Rotary,Helen LucasDistrict Membership Chair
