just being {me} layout
Step by Step:
1. Using the #1060 Smart Trimmer, #6040 FreestyleMouse and #2810 Colonial Decorative-edged blade, trim Blue 'Isabelle' patterened paper by Anna Grin, asfollows: Lay the full sheet on the cutting mat, trim eachcorner o the paper, so that the bottom and far edgeare both 138mm ( 5 1/2") in length. This is to your likingreally, if you choose to have more 'clear space' in yourlayout, you'll need to trim the pieces to a smaller size.Do this all the way around, so you have 4 equal sized'corners' for your layout background.2. To create the rst 'clear space', trim 13mm (1/2") o of thenow diamond shaped paper remaining. Now you'll need to trimthe inside of the diamond shape, keeping the edge intact, asfollows: Using the pointer arrow on the top of the FreestyleMouse, watch your trim line, and cut 13mm (1/2") inside youredge, all the way around. You just created a narrow diamondshaped strip.3. To create the next 'clear space', in the way you justtrimmed the inside edge, you'll trim 25mm (1") all the wayaround the inside. You should have a diamond shaped piece (forthe middle background) that measures about 9" from top tobottom. The measurements are really all up to you. Make thisuniquely yours and have more or less clear space to your liking!4. Ink all edges of the pieces you'll keep to makeyour background, with Colorbox Cat's Eye Ink Queue'Sour Apple'. Ink the edges of your photos or photo mat,as desired. Turn the #3020 Laminator on for a quick heatup, while you position your pieces to make your back-ground layer.5. Take a #4050 12x12 Hot Pocket and open it outon a at surface. Position the cut and inked pieces tocreate 'clear spaces' as shown, making your background.Be sure to position the corner pieces so your outsideedge will appear to be 'lined up' once enclosed in theHot Pocket. Position photos to your liking once the cutpieces are postioned. When you're happy with place-ment, run the whole page through the Laminator, andprepare to be amazed! Voila! Instant layout backgroundthat is fully protected, just waiting for some embellish-ment!6. Create your lace ower by sewing a wide basting stitch along the bottom edge of a piece of lace. Measurement willdepend on the type of lace used. This particular pattern was easier to choose by the number of pineapple designs. Ichose 8, which gives my 'ower' 8 petals. If you're using a dierent type of lace, sew the stitch and gather the lace alongthe stitch line. When you have the desired amount of 'gather' and canconnect each end with a couple of knot stitches, you're done. Trim this andadjust the gathers on the ower to your liking. Embellish the center with acoordinating 3D die-cut sticker from the Anna Grin 'Isabelle' line. Theedges of the sticker should be inked with Colorbox Cat's Eye Ink Queue
