Y.T: So Emyll where are you from?E.A: I'm originally from the Dominican Republic.Y.T: What was it like growing up thereE.A: I didn't really know what it was like living anywhere els until I moved toAmerica when I was 11. I grow up in an agricultural community where wehad crops and cattle and stuff. I remember my house growing up was madeof flimsy ply wood and we had to use the roof of our house to catch rainwater for fresh water.Y.T: So when you moved to America what state did you live in?E.A: Well me and my family landed in J.F.K but we moved strait to Hackensack  N.J.Y.T: What got you interested in the computer technician profession?
E.A: Well when I was in my junior year of high school I was offered a summer internship at Cisco it was me and 9 other kids. When we where there thesenior networking administrator taught us personally about computer networking. While I was working there he offered me and 5 other kids a jobon the union city board of eduction as “Techies”. He taught me everything Ireally needed to know to start as a computer technician.Y.T: Did you have anything els you wanted to do as a career?E.A: When I was young I wanted to be a basketball player but I mean who doesn't.When I first used a computer when I was about 12 I knew that I wanted towork with them.Y.T: How did you hear about the job opening at Yavneh?E.A: I heard about it from Dice.com it said there was an opening for a computer technician at a Jewish day school and I thought it couldn't be that bad.
