IIspent time promoting the magazine and learning to use a new camera at several shows in April &May- RMI in Ocala (twice), 4-H & GOHJA in Orlando, Fox Lea in Venice & CFHJA in Tampa. It iswonderful to begin associating faces with names I commonly hear and know by photo orFacebook. I look forward to meeting more of you over time.Hope you enjoy the photo pages in May & June. I've been taking lots of random photos at eventsand am grateful to a few generous area photographers who regularly share photos with themagazine for the enjoyment of our readers. I hope you'll support their hard work by purchasingpictures.As always, we encourage YOU to send in photos- show, to participate in Jump Clinic, candid orfunny.Some great themes ahead: July will have a dedicated Dressage section. Aug is the Youngstock &Foal issue, Sept is the Junior issue & October is for Eventing.November will cover the Alltech FEI 2010 World Equestrian Games,holiday gift guide & AREA ARTISTS… December, well, depends onwhether you express interest in another Show Guide. I'll announceadditional themes later in the year.We're working on some fun activities and contests for our youngreaders. One in particular advised me to include a search game (Findthe Horseshoe). Thanks C, I'll get on it. Look for announcements forpoem & story contests AND a chance to write and tell us why yourmom deserves to be recognized as a 'Best Show Mom'. Mom's canshare tips and ideas on packing & preparing for shows- look for all of this in the Sept Junior issue!Happy & safe riding.
