Guidelines to use www.Wordpress.com
The Student of NIMCJ, if using wordpress to write their own blog, so there is some basicguideline terms for the bog. So have a look over it.
Text Widget
The text widget allows you to add arbitrary text or HTML to your sidebar. It is themost popular widget because of it’s power and flexibility.You can use a text widget to display links, simple text, images, tables, CSS styledHTML, or a combination. Be aware though that text widgets fall under the samecode security restrictionsthat blog posts and pages do. If you use any code that isn’tallowed it will not be displayed on the blog.The first box is for the title to display and the second box is for the text widgetcontents.
Adding an Image
To add an image to the sidebar, you need to use a little HTML. To get the URL for animage that has been uploaded to your blog, go to the Media Library and click on theimage. You’ll see a File URL field with the location of the uploaded file. Copy theURL.
 
You need to type out the HTML that will display the image. Use the URL that youcopied from your Media Library.
Make sure to adjust the width to something that fitswell in your sidebar! 
Each theme is different, so you may need to experiment to findthe best number to use. Here is how it should look:
Archives Widget
The archives widget shows a monthly archive of your blog posts.
Title
– 
Set the title to be displayed above the archives in your sidebar.
Show post counts
 – 
If this box is checked, the total number of publishedposts for that particular month will be displayed next to the link.
Display as a drop down
– 
Check this box to display the months on asingle line, as a drop down menu, rather than a list – which is handy if you want tosave space or have been writing your blog for a long time.
 
Twitter Widget
The Twitter widget allows you to display updates from aTwitter  account in the sidebar of your blog. You can look at theWordPress.com News Blog to see an example in action.
Title
– 
Set the title to be shown above the authors.
Twitter username
 – 
The
 
username from Twitter that will be used. Whenlooking at your Twitter page, your username is the last part of the URL as shown inthe image below.
Blog Subscription Widget
The
blog subscription
widget allows you to display a subscription form so that youreaders can signup for blog subscriptions.
