I would like to present to you a new book "Blood of My Father." It is a memoir written by the abandoned child of Earl Warren. The book can be found on Xlibris.com. Author is S.J. King
In "Turn It Over," Leslie Gelb rants about how unrealistic it is to expect to win in Afganistan, then suggests that with his plan to turn over Afganistan's defense to the Afgans we can be out in three years. We are not going to be out in three years. Maybe 10, or more likely General McChrystal's estimate of 14. Any hope of getting out in a few years just gives high-fives to the Taliban who know that all they have to do is outlast any such hopes to win. We need to accept the fact that we will be there for a decade and maybe several and just get down to the business of winning a long term war. We won in South Korea and we can win in Afganistan - if we have the patience.
